Lucky... it landed close, I was on a tripod (1/80 at 600mm) and didn't have to move, enough light cross bounced off the water, and the guy next to me (Ed) also had a clean shot... unlucky that he lost the fish before he set...

As the heron kept trying to intimidate and nips at the vultures they kept coming back over and over... eventually the heron started to look rather angry...
